This zine is the trial statement of Kuwasi Balagoon, with an introduction by way of a eulogy written for him by his comrade Judy Clark, as well as two of his poems.
Kuwasi began his journey into revolutionary action by building tenant power and advocating for the housing rights and the right to safe housing by all. He later became a member of the Black Panther Party and then the Black Liberation Army. His story is that of liberty and righteousness in the face of state oppression.
You can read more by and about Kuwasi in the book A Soldier’s Story, the third and most recent edition of which can be found here.
